Warranty

2 year warranty on all design furniture from Hemdesigners

Our ambition at Hemdesigners is to handpick, develop and create beautiful design objects and furniture manufactured in a quality that will last a long time. We work with several skilled craftsmen who manufacture our furniture by hand according to this vision. In accordance with the Purchase Act, we offer a 24-month warranty on all our furniture - but we naturally expect all our furniture pieces to last longer than that, provided that our furniture is handled in accordance with Hemdesigner's care instructions. Our warranty applies in accordance with the conditions set out in the warranty conditions below.

What is covered by the warranty? 

The warranty covers hidden manufacturing defects and ensures that any defects are solved within the warranty period - provided that the warranty conditions are met.

How long is the warranty valid for? 

The warranty is valid for 2 years (24 months) and this period is counted from the time the product has been delivered to you as a customer. The complaint is valid by presenting an order confirmation and a correctly completed complaint form received by the us or downloaded HERE. Furthermore, we assume that any errors or defects are reported to us within a reasonable time after the error has been established.

In addition to the 2-year warranty, you as a customer have the right to make a complaint for 3 years (36 months) according to the Consumer Purchase Act.

The warranty does not cover: 

- Normal wear, discoloration, pilling or other normal changes during a product's life cycle.

-Cut marks, scratches or other damage caused by improper use, transport or handling. Accidents or damage caused by external factors or incorrect handling.

-Natural properties of materials. Furniture that is made of different fabrics or mixed materials, e.g. that fabric or leather can get small wrinkles on cushions, padding or feathers over time, and that fabrics can stretch a little with use. These are completely natural features that must be taken into account and are not covered by the warranty.

-Seats or down pillows that have a filling of down, cold foam and/or silicone fiber have a tendency to change shape. This is a physical characteristic of the filling and is not covered by the warranty. For a long service life of materials and fillings, it is assumed that you take care of your furniture according to the care instructions. See: Materials & Care

-Externally caused damage and discoloration due to lack of or incorrect care/maintenance/cleaning in accordance with the care instructions. If you are unsure about the handling of a certain material, you are always welcome to contact customer service. See: Materials & Care

-Products that have been stored, assembled or used incorrectly, abused or modified, as well as products that have been exposed to high temperature variations, placed in direct sunlight or in an environment for which the product is not suitable, e.g. outside. The warranty does not cover moisture damage.

-Goods with an already reduced selling price due to malfunction or damage

How do I go about reporting an error? 

Any damage is only reported in writing to our email: info@hemdesigners.se. Note that reporting any errors verbally via telephone is not an initiated complaint case. Complaints are made through a completed complaint form obtained from Hemdesigners or downloaded HERE. A correctly completed complaint form facilitates the handling of your case. In addition to the completed complaint form, photos of the perceived damage (as noted on the complaint form) as well as a receipt or order confirmation are required.

What does Hemdesigners do to fix the error? 

After receiving a complete complaint form, Hemdesigners examines the case to make an assessment as to whether the fault is covered by the warranty. The case is usually answered within 30 working days. If the fault is covered by the warranty and the manufacturer admits fault, the claim will primarily be met by remedying the defect.

If remedying the defect results in a qualitative or aesthetic loss, buyer and manufacturer, or buyer and seller, can agree on compensation.

In the event that the buyer in any way prevents the manufacturer or the seller from remedying the defect, the buyer is considered to have waived his warranty claim, and thus the complaint case is closed.

Errors that are covered by warranty neither affect nor cause the contract concluded in connection with the purchase to be cancelled. The buyer is still obliged to fulfill the agreement entered into.
